RightHand Technologies is an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) that provides high-tech custom or semi-custom Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and chassis designs (aerospace LRUs) for industry-leading suppliers to the Aerospace & Defense markets.
Our history
Founded in 2002, RightHand Technologies was created from a team of high-speed digital system engineers experienced in 3D video gaming platforms and video-on-demand systems. In 2005, RightHand had an opportunity to apply this expertise to Aerospace and Defense applications that include world class designs for the In-Flight-Entertainment systems and critical video systems used in the Military. The company has grown from a small warehouse in 2002 to a much more comfortable 25,000 square-foot facility acquired in 2013. The building located in the northwest side of Chicago has plenty of room for engineering offices and factory floor space. The RightHand team remains intact and is still passionate about high-tech product design & manufacturing.

The RightHand offices are situated only 10 minutes from O’Hare Airport and only 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. This convenient location allows for efficient transportation for employees and customers alike.

Our clients
RightHand’s primary focus is Aerospace & Defense. In Cabin Management Systems (CMS) for Air Transport and Business Jet markets, RightHand is entrusted with the development, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) qualification to DO-160G and ongoing production of latest generation, Line-Replaceable Units (LRUs). State-of-the-art examples include Touch control panels, 4K displays and video servers with iOS and Android smartphone & tablet streaming connectivity for passengers. RightHand’s customers are industry-leading suppliers of In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems to world-renowned aircraft Original Equipment Makers (OEMs).
RightHand also designs & certifies to MIL-STD-810 & -461 and various other military specifications as required. We assemble, test & ship rugged products such as VPX chassis with fiber optic interconnections and rugged handheld devices to some of the largest U.S. Defense sub-contractors.
In the burgeoning unmanned autonomous vehicle market (a subset of both Aerospace and Defense markets), RightHand provides UAV OEMs with mission & payload avionics, rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries and other technologies.
For select Commercial customers, RightHand continues to solve and source wireless and other technology challenges where Far East suppliers fall short.
